All of our Brazilian material comes from a small mining operation in Diamantina, Minas Gerais- a region in the Jequitinhonha valley that has produced quartz since the 18th century diamond rush that gave the town its name.  The mountains here yield clear and smoky quartz crystals with the clarity and termination that collectors look for.

We buy directly from the family working this deposit, which is what lets us sell cabinet quality specimens at wholesale prices.  Every lot is filmed before it ships.
