The color runs pale champagne to warm honey-gold. What sets this lot apart is what the polished faces reveal inside: two pieces carry green phantoms, ghost terminations mapped out in seafoam-green chlorite, and one of those shows the phantom edged in red hematite with a dense scatter of dark mineral specks fanning down through the interior. The red the name refers to is iron oxide — bright orange-red and deeper brick patches sitting on the natural faces and sealed inside the crystal, banded horizontally on several pieces. One piece is double-terminated. Others show white veiling, fine hair-like inclusions, and small iridescent internal fractures that throw rainbow.
Pieces run roughly 2 to 3 inches, mostly stout blocky points. The unpolished faces stay natural and frosted where they weren’t worked.
