592 g, 8 pieces. $225/kg. Rutilated quartz from Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil, cut and polished into free-form lenses ranging from about 1 to 3 inches. The rutile runs golden through most of the lot, with copper-toned needles on several pieces and one piece carrying dense silver rutile in fine crossed sprays against near-colorless quartz. Body color ranges from water-clear to warm honey, with the most heavily included pieces reading almost solid gold. One piece has a banded section in orange and brown with fine golden needles crossing the surface. The largest pieces are palm-sized display stones; the lot also includes smaller pocket pieces.
