The points range from water-clear to lightly frosted, with the internal veiling and fine horizontal striations across the prism faces that give Lemurian quartz its name. Color runs from pale blush across whole terminations to deeper red-orange concentrated on individual points and faces — this is natural iron oxide on and within the crystal, not a treatment. The silver in the name is the backing: several clusters sit on a darker grey druzy base of small silvered points, which sets off the pink fronts.
Pieces run roughly 2 to 3½ inches. Some clusters are single-sided plates; others are fully crystallized on more than one face. Fine root traces and a little clay remain in the crevices of the largest piece, left as found.
