The color runs from soft peach to pale rose and sits deepest in the crystal cores, with many terminations grading out to near-colorless at the tips. The pink comes from trace iron in the crystal structure. Lustre is glassy to pearly and the larger crystals are translucent to nearly transparent, with the fine internal feathering apophyllite is known for visible throughout. The lot includes one large display plate alongside smaller cabinet and thumbnail pieces. Natural and untreated — no dyeing, coating, or stabilizing, as with everything we carry.
