Some cups hold a fine glitter of tiny crystals. The slabs vary across the lot: some are cool grey-blue and glow when held to the light, others are warm honey-gold, and one is more opaque, packed edge to edge with ochre-and-cream cups. The yellow and rust tones typically come from iron staining.

Each slab has cut and polished faces framed by its natural rind, a pale chalky border where the coral structure still stands in relief. The slabs measure about 3¼ to 6 inches.

The rind is softer and more porous than the agate, so handle the edges with care.

Every lot is filmed before it ships — what you see in the video is the material that arrives.
